PathoBrainSeq ("we," "us," or "our") operates the mNeuroMap mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service.
mNeuroMap is a brain health wellness tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnoses. All data collected is for personal wellness awareness purposes only.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account or use the beta program, we collect:
- Email address
- Display name (optional)
- Authentication credentials (managed by Firebase Authentication)
- Language preference (English, Korean, Chinese, Spanish)
1.2 Assessment Data
When you complete the PBWA™ (PBSeq Brain Wellness Assessment), we collect:
- Your responses to assessment items across five domains: Orientation, Memory, Attention, Visuospatial, and Language
- Domain scores and total wellness score
- Optional disease-specific module responses (if you choose to complete them)
1.3 Digital Biomarker Data (Automatically Collected)
During the assessment, we automatically collect performance metadata to help track cognitive wellness trends over time:
- Response time (milliseconds per item)
- Hesitation count (pauses of 3+ seconds)
- Correction count (answer changes)
- Total assessment duration
- Tapping speed and accuracy (Alternative Tapping test)
- Drawing stroke data — coordinates and timing (Clock Drawing test)
1.4 Voice Data
Voice Recording — Separate Consent Required
The Voice Biomarker test is entirely optional. Before any voice recording begins, you will be presented with a separate consent screen. You may skip this test at any time without affecting your assessment.
If you consent to the Voice Biomarker test:
- Your voice is recorded for up to 30 seconds
- All voice processing occurs entirely on your device — raw audio is never transmitted to our servers
- We extract only numerical metrics: speech rate, pause count, average pause duration, and volume variation
- The raw audio recording is immediately and permanently deleted from your device after analysis
- Only the extracted numerical metrics are stored
1.5 Device Information
We collect basic device information for service functionality:
- Device type and operating system
- Browser type (for web app)
- Device date/time (used for Orientation assessment validation)
- Screen size (for responsive layout)
1.6 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Location data (GPS)
- Contact lists
- Photos or camera access (except for Clock Drawing canvas)
- Browsing history
- Data from other apps on your device
2. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your data for:

- Medical diagnosis or clinical decision-making

3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored in Google Firebase/Firestore, which provides:
- Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+)
- SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 compliance
- ISO 27001 certification
- Data centers located in the United States
3.2 Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Assessment data: retained while your account is active (for longitudinal tracking)
- Voice recordings: never retained — deleted immediately after on-device analysis
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

5. Your Rights
5.1 All Users
- Access: You can view all your stored assessment data within the app
- Correction: You can update your account information at any time
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at infor@pathobrainseq.com
- Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
5.2 California Residents (CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Privacy Rights Act:
- Right to know what personal information is collected, used, and shared
- Right to delete personal information
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell your data)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information
5.3 Illinois Residents (BIPA)
The Voice Biomarker test collects voice data that may constitute biometric information under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA):
- We obtain your informed, written consent before collecting any voice data
- Voice recordings are processed entirely on your device and are never stored on our servers
- Raw voice recordings are immediately and permanently destroyed after on-device analysis
- Only derived numerical metrics (not biometric identifiers) are stored
- You may decline the voice test at any time with no penalty
6. Children's Privacy
mNeuroMap is designed for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at infor@pathobrainseq.com and we will promptly delete it.
